December Holiday Party

We met Wed. at Corkhill Palms at 9:30 am. We exchanged these beautiful Christmas cards that we had painted.
Here are a few for you to see.

We also painted Christmas tree balls.
Aren't they delightful?  We had such a jolly good time!  We missed the ones who couldn't make it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR.

December Plein Air

We met at 9:30 am Dec. 8th at Las Casuelas Patio.....wandered around and took pictures and decided what and where we wanted to paint.  The staff were very cordial to us and the 6 of us made ourselves at home on a sun-dappled patio. Everyone chose a different topic.
I'll try to get pictures of the paintings to you.  I was so busy painting I forgot to get any pictures of the paintings.  So-o-o much fun!

Such a beautiful place to paint and so much structural material to choose from.  The design around the outside fountain intrigued me.

Everyone was given a menu and chose their favorites.

Such a good painting, relaxing time was had by all.

11/22/10

I just want to let everyone know about what the gallery is doing as we all get ready for Christmas.

“There are two kinds of artists, the emotional painter and the academician. The academician can paint into old age sitting on his stool licking his canvas until 98 years of age. The emotional artists burn himself up; he does not live long. The academician always creates something acceptable, boring, but acceptable. The emotional artist often misses, but when he hits, it is breathtakingly beautiful… touched by the gods!”
