Nice group met Wednesday, April 17, at Corkhill Palms Clubhouse to watch the portrait demonstration by ALICE LEGGETT.
LYNN HANSELMAN won the drawing to have her portrait done by this Costa Mesa artist. We were very fortunate to have ALICE LEGGETT demonstrate her painting to our group. It was a real priviledge and very informative....a learning experience.
This was the last meeting of this season. We will meet again in October 2013.
10 of us met at Two Bunch Palms for lunch. See you all next fall.

2. Since last years season we have been attempting to schedule a Paletteers Club event Field Trip, to the Gourde Art Farm. For those who are able, meet at the Desert Crest Country Club/Mobile Home Park Clubhouse, East of Desert Hot Springs, off of Dillon, just before Corkhill Palms, at 69-400 S. Country Club Drive, Desert Edge... on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. to go by Car Caravan to the Gourde Art Farm at 40635 De Luz Road, Fall brook, Ca. 92028, 760-728-4271. Following the Tour, we will go to Old Town Temecula for Lunch.

Thursday, April 25th, 2013 6-8:00 p.m. at Miracle Springs Resort, 10625 Palm Drive, DHS, 760-251-4549/RSVP. $20.00 Buffet Soup Salad Dessert: Featuring the Art Collection of Steve Quintanilla "Capturing Our Desert Varmints in Art" The talk and show will focus on the many artists who discovered the beauty and intrigue of our indigenous local wildlife.
4. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH YOUR ART: Be involved and donate a painting or a portion of your sales to benefit the Soroptimist House of Hope. ARTISTS FOR RECOVERY, April 19th, 2013, 4:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at The Corridor, 515 N. Palm Canyon Dr. Palm Springs, Ca. Help break the Stigma of seeking help for Mental Illness and Addiction. The Soroptimist House of Hope is a non-profit treatment center for Women in Desert Hot Springs. The event is sponsored by Michael's House in Partnership with Heroes in Recovdery.
